Ateh is a huge believer in diversity and has recently launched her own award- winning Vlog for women with darker skin tones called jeweltonesbeauty. She’s a mother to five year twin daughters and was inspired by them to create the blog. Growing up Ateh grew up hating her hair and wanted to break the cycle for her children. Jewel Tones Beauty was created to be an aspirational and luxurious space to talk all things beauty, hair and wellness for women with darker skin tones.

Her other short film Drone (Starring Ewen Bremner from ‘Trainspotting’), has screened at many major international film festivals including BFI London Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand, AFI Docs, Aspen Shortsfest and many others. Her films have won awards and nominations at Rhode Island Film Festival (Best Documentary), Washington D.C International Film Festival (Best Short Film), Barcelona Mecal Film Festival (Audience Prize) and Montreal World Film Festival (Twice Nominated for Best Film). Both films also secured international distribution on TV, including Channel 4 in the U.K and have both been sold to iTunes. Her company has also just been awarded a feature film development deal.
She also founded the digital agency Couture Communications, producing T.V and online content for brands including Chanel, Dior, L’Oreal Paris, Revlon, London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, and fashion designers including Alice Temperley, Antonio Berardi, House of Holland, Christopher Kane and Matthew Williamson.
